How do I...Your game
Hide or move the mount HUD
Hide the ability tiles, level and stamina bar you see while riding, all at once or one piece at a time, or move each one.
While you ride, the mod shows three pieces: your mount’s ability tiles with their keys and cooldowns, its level, and a flying mount’s stamina bar. These are your own settings, so a server can’t change them and nobody else is affected.
The easy way: the HUD editor
The mod has an editor for its HUD: open it from the HUD button on your mount’s profile, and point at a piece to hide it. The editor can also move each piece, turn the ability tiles into a column, and lay out the quest tracker. See Arrange your HUD with the HUD editor.
Whatever you do there is saved to fantasy-client.toml, where you can also set it by hand, as below.
Hide all of it, or one piece
Open .minecraft/config/fantasy-client.toml (where it is) and find the [hud] section:
# fantasy-client.toml
[hud]
# Hide every piece at once.
enabled = false
Or keep enabled on and hide just the piece you don’t want:
# fantasy-client.toml
[hud]
enabled = true
# The ability tiles with their keys and cooldowns.
showAbilities = true
# Your mount's level and its progress to the next.
showLevel = false
# The stamina bar of a flying mount.
showStamina = false
seatHint is the short note on how to switch seats when you board a mount with several. Set it to false once you know the keys.
Save, and the change shows the next time you look: there’s no need to restart.
Move a piece by hand
Each piece has a section of its own: [hud.abilities], [hud.level] and [hud.stamina]. A piece stays in its usual place until moved is true; then anchor says which point of the screen it keeps to as the window changes size, and x and y how many pixels from there.
# fantasy-client.toml
[hud.abilities]
moved = true
# A corner, the middle of a side, or CENTER.
anchor = "MIDDLE_RIGHT"
x = 8
y = 0
# The tiles in a column instead of a row.
vertical = true
The editor writes these for you, so moving pieces there is easier than working out the numbers.
The quest tracker has settings of its own: see Hide, shrink or move the quest tracker.
The settings
Each with what it does, its default and the values it takes. Copy a line, or change them all in the Settings Workbench.
