How do I...Your game
Hide, shrink or move the quest tracker
Show the tracker as one line, pick its corner and size, or stop the narrator's letters opening by themselves.
The quest tracker shows the quest you’re following: its stage, what’s left to do and where to go. The quickest way to change it is in the game:
- The Quest tracker key (set it in Controls, under Fantasy Mounts) switches it between shown, minimized and hidden.
- The Quest tracker button in the Field Journal opens the HUD editor, where you can drag the tracker anywhere, change its size, and minimize or hide it. See Arrange your HUD with the HUD editor.
What you pick there is saved to fantasy-client.toml, where you can also set it by hand.

Letters and dialogue
The narrator writes to you as you meet and tame mounts. dialogue decides what opens by itself:
| Value | What happens |
|---|---|
ALL |
Letters open by themselves when it’s safe (on the ground, not fighting, no screen open), and people speak when you talk to them |
NOTIFY_ONLY |
The tracker tells you a letter came, and the Field Journal key opens it. Only the introduction opens by itself |
NPCS_ONLY |
The narrator stays quiet, even for the introduction. People still speak when you talk to them |
OFF |
No dialogue opens at all, not even when you talk to people |
You can change this in the game too, with the Dialogue button in the Field Journal. Letters always wait for you in the Field Journal. textSpeed sets how fast a line writes itself out (SLOW, NORMAL, FAST or INSTANT; a click always finishes it). progressMessages turns off the note above the hotbar when an objective moves on (Skeletons 3/6).
To turn quests off for everyone, the server owner sets quests.enabled to false: see Set up quests and the narrator.
The settings
Each with what it does, its default and the values it takes. Copy a line, or change them all in the Settings Workbench.

Show the tracker as one line: the quest and how far along it is.
