Turn off the update check

The mod asks fantasymounts.com at most about twice a day whether a newer version is out. Here is how to turn that off.

At most about twice a day, the mod asks fantasymounts.com whether a newer Fantasy Mounts is out for your Minecraft version and loader. The request carries only the mod’s version, and nothing is downloaded. If there is one, the game says so on the title screen and in your own worlds, never while you play on someone else’s server (its owner picks its version).

In your game

# fantasy-client.toml
[updates]
    check = false

On a dedicated server

A dedicated server checks when it starts and at most about twice a day, and says so in one line of its log. Players are never told. To turn it off:

# fantasy-server.toml
[updates]
    check = false

On Forge and NeoForge, versionCheck = false in config/fml.toml turns it off too, along with every other mod’s update check.
