How do I...Server owners
Set how the Mount Whistle works
Decide whether mounts answer the whistle, how far it reaches, whether they teleport to catch up, and how fast they follow.
The Mount Whistle calls a tamed mount to follow you. The server’s rules are under [whistle] in fantasy-server.toml:
| Setting | Default | What it does |
|---|---|---|
allowWhistle |
true |
Whether mounts obey the whistle at all |
maxDistance |
2000 |
How many blocks away a mount can be and still hear it. Either way it must be in the same dimension and in a loaded area |
teleport |
true |
A following mount that falls far behind teleports to its owner, as tamed wolves do. Off: it always walks or flies the whole way |
immuneWhileFollowing |
true |
A mount can’t be hurt while it follows its whistle |
soundVolume |
1.0 |
How loud the whistle is for everyone |
In fantasy-balance.toml, followSpeed sets how fast a mount follows (1.0 is its walking pace, 1.3 by default) and teleportDistance how many blocks behind it gets before it teleports (24).
Each player can hide the mount’s icon on their whistle in the hotbar with showOnSlot under [whistle] in fantasy-client.toml, and set its volume for themselves with whistle under [audio].
